GDS is an industry leader in web based enterprise technology. Our web expertise focuses on the disemination and storage of large data archives over private and public networks. Our in-house online archive of supporting our web-based disemination of imagery and GIS products is approaching 4 Terabytes, and we are currently designing a 50 Terabyte data server system for a Washington, DC area customer.

This technology we have applied to areas outside of the fields of imagery, mapping and cartography. For example, we are currently building a large (50-200 node) distributed medical data system which will operate over its own private network. This system not only provides for the dissemination of standard patient data, but permits both X-ray images, and live interactive video to be exchanged and stored.
